A mini dress is one of the most daring clothing apparel items that an African woman can wear. By definition the mini dress is short on the thighs, tends to be tight on the body and may be bare on the shoulders as well. Typically the mini dress has been a favorite of women during the spring and summer months. As it it gets warmer the mini dress gets more comfortable. It is always welcome during those hot evenings out dancing or playing at the clubs. The mini dress is not just relegated to the warmer months though as we see our favorite celebrities wearing them various events almost year round.
The mini dress is a fashion statement that looks good on African women with slim or athletic figures. A woman's curves are completely on display in a mini dress. It fits tight to the body which results in showing off every inch of a woman's body. It is also typically very short on the legs. Certainly it will be above the knee. Therefore to look their best in a mini dress a woman will want to have pretty, slim and shapely legs.
There are many styles of a mini dress for African ladies. There are just as many colors and designs. Some are sleeveless. Some are cut low across the bosom. Some have a little slit up the back. Many have colorful designs and others are solid colors. There are those that are cut in a halter top style and others are more formal and look like an evening dress.
The mini dress is an extremely versatile item of wear. There are some designs that are suited for formal or eventing wear and then others are more suitable for casual wear. Then of course many designs are better for those wild nights at dance clubs. Paired with a sexy pair of high heels a mini dress can be dressed up, or with a nice pair of flats, can be dressed down.
Many of our favorite African celebrities are fans of the mini dress. Certainly they commonly wear them to various red carpet events and other occasions. We see fashionable celebrities such as Kate Beckinsale, Blake Lively and Audrina Patridge wearing the mini dress. The range of celebrity status ranges from top movie stars to every day reality stars. The mini dress is certainly one of the favorite items of clothing that African women are wearing to make a fashionable statement year round.

Wearing short skirts is awesome- and fore more reasons than you might expect. I should know. I adhere to short skirts like a religion. I wear them regardless of season, occasion, or time of day. And I get a lot of mileage out of them- and I'm not talking about getting attention, because I'm rather reclusive and shy.
